Nova Sport

Branding of Czech sport channel. The channel was changing its name as well as its logo, which we did not design. In our opinion a three-colour half-tone logo is impractical for use on the picture background. Therefore, we proceeded from the basis, which is a red sticker with a white logo, easily distinguishable against any background. Typography has become for us the foundation for creating a characteristic graphic style. The family of TV Nova channels uses the Novatica font. This typeface is an intentional variation of Helvetica, however containing specific lowercase characters. For this reason we have chosen a semi-bold style for Novasport and lowercase characters primarily for writing to allow them to stand out. Another application of Novatica is in the graphic design of a live match broadcast.
